Energy Tax Credit
Federal tax credits for energy-efficient home improvements are back. Reinstatement of the popular credit was part of the American Taxpayer Relief Act, the last-minute legislation that kept America from tumbling over the fiscal cliff at the start of 2013.
The law allows homeowners to claim tax credit on improvements such as insulation. cfiFOAM products are eligible for this federal tax credit.
Only the cost of the insulation material counts towards the credit according to the IRS.
Congress made this credit retroactive, meaning improvements made in both 2012 and 2013 will qualify.
